GoNintendo (which is a wonderful site for Nintendo gamers. We highly recommend it!) is reporting that a source close to them that is a representative for Nintendo says the Wii U will be $300 when it ships later this year.
Not only that but they say to expect Nintendo Land to be packed-in with the console.
GoNintendo says:
This information comes from a long-time reader that has been very trustworthy with information. I don’t want to give out there name, as I want to keep them safe. Just believe me when I say that info they’ve given us in the past has been spot on.

- expect the big push for Wii U to kick off in September
- Nintendo Land will ‘definitely’ be a pack-in
- don’t expect a digital version since the physical copy will be packed in with each box
I have no reason to think Kevin Cassidy (better known as Raw Meat Cowboy) over at GoNintendo would be saying this if he didn’t think it had a good chance of proving true. He doesn’t go out on a limb very often with rumors originating from GoNintendo but when he does it usually is pretty solid.
