(Jan. 23, 2012) — Rumor has it Microsoft plans to change their online currency. Inside Mobile Apps is reporting that by the end of 2012 they will shift Windows Phone, Windows Live, Zune Marketplace and Xbox Live away from using the odd Microsoft Points.
Microsoft Points have always been confusing. 400 points translate into $5. Microsoft is reportedly telling developers to prepare for this change.
Can’t say I’ll miss the points. It will be much easier when everything is priced in real world currency.
