Mass Effect 3 will use Origin on PC, not Steam (gamers everywhere die a little)

(Jan. 20, 2012) — It makes sense. We all saw this coming. EA says Mass Effect 3 will hit Origin to be purchased by download, and from some other third party sources as well. Just not Steam, which is totally Origin’s main competitor. This happened with Battlefield 3 this past October, and its happening again.

All retail copies of Mass Effect 3 on PC will require Origin to be played as well. Yes, we know. Major bummer.
